Dr. S.S. Waheedulla Hussaini Quadri Multani was born on 20th October, 1973 at Hyderabad, India and grew up in a spiritual atmosphere. He is the fifth of ten children born to Abul Arif Shah Syed Shafiulla Hussaini al-Quadri ul-Multani Sajjadahnashin (authorized representative) of the Shrine of Hazrat Shah Syed Peer Hussaini al-Quadri ul-Multani, Muhaqqiq (may Allah sanctify his secret), Imampura Sharif, Hyderabad. He received an M.A. (Islamic Studies) and M.Com degrees from Osmania University Hydedrabad and Maulvi Kamil from Jamia Nizamia, Hyderabad. He was a gold medalist in Islamic Studies. He submitted his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “Grants given by the seventh Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan to Various Religious Personages and Institutions” under the supervision of Prof. Mohd. Suleman Siddiqi, Former Head, Department of Islamic Studies and Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University. As an orator, prolific writer and columnist, he has written extensively on ethical, educational, rational, political, economical, spiritual, remedial and doctrinal aspects of Islam and on the various issues pertaining to Sufism in the perspective of modern age. He is a regular contributor to the journals of national repute and dailies of Hyderabad, India, i.e., Siasat, Munsif, Etemaad, Rehnuma-e-Deccan, Rashtriya Sahara, Hamara Awam, Sahafi-e-Deccan and has published around 600 articles till date. He delivers weekend lectures under the caption “Mehfil-i Dars-i Quran-i Majid wo Tafsir” on every Saturday at Masjid-I Ibrahimi, Khaderbagh, Ring road, Hyderabad and Sunday at Masjid-i Habeeba Tolichowki, Seven Tombs Road, Hyderabad, for the last two decades. He has translated the Urdu book into English entitled “Anwar-i din” compiled by Dr. Abdur Rahseed Junaid. He also translated four units of study material of B.A. in the subject of History for Directorate of Distance Education, Maulana Azad National Urdu University. He also participated and presented a paper at the National Seminar organized by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad chair at MANUU, Hyderabad in the mont410h of November, 2013. He worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Islamic Studies in MANUU. Presently he is associated with Henry Martyn Institute, Hyderabad as a senior faculty in the department of Islamic Studies.
